Post iMovie Blows Some Serious Nard
I recently reformatted my computer, and before reinstalling Final Cut Studio onto my computer--edited together a small little thing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2G1mhDHMnc) using the latest (OSX.5.7) version of iMovie and it is sooo awful. I used the older versions of it in High School and I don't remember it being anywhere remotely this bad.

There is absolutely NO audio control.

Forget about precise cutting basis, everything is dependent on how you "crop" your clips.

All I wanted was to make a movie about a guy raping another guy in a game of laser quest.

I guess I've just been spoiling myself over the past few years in the FC world. AND I don't even like editing! Bleh.

From what I've seen, the camera stablizing tool is pretty damn amazing for a consumer program.

Aside from that, my only ever experience of iMovie was back at college when the first generation iMacs appeared. I didn't think much of it then to be honest.

Once upon a time but these days I use Vegas. Finally getting my head around it and it's the only program that runs HDV at a perfect speed on my not-so-great computer.

I'll use Final Cut Pro if I'm on a Mac
